P.S. Does anyone remember Invader Zim? I caught an episode on Nick's rerun channel. It was a good show in its day. Or has it turn into some cult show that only people who shop at Hot Topic watch (FYI I've shopped there a few times myself)? I remember my roommate used to sing the Doom song alot.

Ok, so I spent the day with my sister. It started when I had to pick her up at 8am from XC practice, it was way to early for my liking. Then I had to spend the rest of the day with her and her friends on Main St.. She had to go around to different stores asking them to sponsor her for the stupid pageant thing, she only got one. I knew this stupid pageant would affect me in negative ways. Anywho, while we were in a coffee shop I saw art for sale on the wall for like $100-$700 and I thought to myself "I can do at least as good as this person". So I am going to show you a painting I did a few years ago to see if it is any good. I was also going to show some drawings from my old scrapbook, but my scanner didn't really translate the drawings well.

This is my only painting I can find in the house. I think my  Abula (aka Grandma) stole them all, and they are now on her walls in Florida.

OK, so I haven't posted in a few days, time to remedy that.
I just saw Tropic Thunder. It was pretty good, and I actually laughed a few times despite some of its flaws, so I recommend seeing it. It seems that there was an early showing of Star Wars today, cause there was one Darth Vader, two Clone Troopers, and a few Jedi in the theater today.

The last thing I did before that is go to a swap meet. I went along with my dad because I was hoping to pick up some old video games stuff(I think the Atari I bought is broken), but all they had was junk and knifes for some reason (every single stand was selling knives, kinda weird). So we drove 25 miles to get there and all we bought was kettle corn, and the people we bought it from sell it in my town so I didn't even need to leave town.

We have signs on the highways and streets that say evacuation route, to be used in case of hurricanes. After seeing a whole bunch on my little trip I got to wondering, where does the evacuation route go? When are we evacuated? When we leave the state, or get to some designated evacuee zone? Do I have to drive to Canada to be safe from the deadly hurricane or just to New York or Massachusetts(yes I know I skipped CT, cause it sucks and it's on the coast too)? Is the route for any emergency or just hurricanes, will I be following said route in case of Zombie outbreak? So many questions.




We also passed the Veterans Cemetery, and there is a big thing I need my Dad to answer about it, but he is dodging the question. That is a post unto itself. (The question is not about the Cemetery itself) I was way off.

OK I have had a gift copy of Half Life 2: Episode One since the Orange Box came out. Has anyone not experienced Half Life glory and want to play it? I think you just need Steam or something for me to give it to you. I wish Valve just gave me money to reimburse me for buying a game twice.

So today, and by today I mean yesterday, I attended orientation for incoming transfer students. First of all the road system on campus is incredible convoluted and it took my like an hour to find were I was supposed to meet. I guess the only real thing I did was choose what classes I am going to take. Anyone want to hear what they are? Doesn't matter I'm going to tell you anyway. Oh before that, I am a Sophomore again, and they took barely enough credits for me to qualify as one (and the reason they didn't take the others is not because they were non transferable, they didn't because I suck at school). OK back to my classes. So as a History major, I might as well take some history classes and fully my 100 level courses(I guess they are the lowest) for the major. So lets see as a US history buff, I am retaking "American History since 1877" which is self explanatory, and "The History of Technology in American Life Since 1800" which I guess is about how technology turned us into fat lazy people the Super Power we are today. OK with two history courses out of the way I decided to take three other courses to fill out my institutional requirements. I guess the only one really pointing out is my art class "Introduction to Film Media", which I am kinda second guessing. It's two hours long and I guess I am going to have to make movies, but I am not Brendon Small and have no creative bone in my body. Oh, did I mention where I'm going to be living? I was lucky enough to get housing being a transfer student , but I am going to be living in a Frat. Yes a Frat. I am not pledging, will never pledge and have not pledged in the past, but I am going to be living in a Fraternity. I just don't like the idea of it, well because you now how the frat crowd is and I am definitely not part of that crowd, unless it's Lambda Lambda Lambda that is.

On a different note, I have the song Major Tom by Peter Schilling stuck in my head. I am listening to said song due to the fact that it is connected to The Venture Bros. even though it's not Ashes to Ashes or Space Oddity by David Bowie. It is also a pretty good song.

On yet another, I never finish anything. I have wanted to gain muscle and not be a skinny wimp, didn't really attempt to. I have attempted to learn Russian, but stopped after like two days and all my materials are going to waste. I have tried to learn the guitar, but after like two weeks just lost interest and my guitar is just sitting there in the corner. Books are somewhat of an exception. I read them and like halfway through i buy another book and read it cover to cover then go back to the first book and finish it. Like this book I am reading now called Sojourn by R.A. Salvatore I stopped like 1/3 into it and read all of World War Z by Max Brooks. Another book I read two whole books in between, and all of these books are in the middle of The Cardinal of the Kremlin which I will finish eventually. I just lose motivation on things easy and just give up and or procrastinate.

I probably have a gazillion typos in this, but its like 5 am so who cares. Also my Spanish really sucks for how many years I've been taking it. I'm in a little bit of a bad mood.

Why am I posting an entry about a stupid beauty show you ask? Cause I have a stupid sister. Do to the fact that she is a miss, a teen, and from the You Es of Eh she has deemed herself qualified to enter into competition. I do not like this because I know that my mom will turn into a stage mom, and my sister will forget the capital of the country on stage in front of a crowd. What happened to the good old days of not entering into stupid contest I ask you?

So I just saved two bats from the horrors of my dad. Once or twice bats have mistaken my front door entrance as a cave, today two bats at once. My parents do not like said bats and were going to kill them, but I was there to deny this batacide. So I grabbed them with gloves and put them in the woods, instead of getting crushing them with a 2X4 like someone wanted to do.

Now if i can only get rid of those stupid robins in the yard (get it, aren't I funny).

I have this cartoon on the brain that I forget what its name was. It was kinda like the X-files in that they investigated paranormal and Sci-fi stuff. The episode I do remotely remember had them investigate El Chupacabra, and it ended up being an alien vampire. I have no clue what show it was.

So, Manny Ramirez is now a Dodger. After like a week or two of bitching, daring the Red Sox to trade him, his wish has come true. He was one of our best players (hitters at least), and helped us win the two Series since 04. I don't know whats going to happen to David Ortiz (the DH) now that hes gone, without Manny hitting behind Ortiz hes going to get walked at every at bat. Well we did get a supposedly decent player from the Pirates that has more homers this season then Manny, named Jason Bay. The Sox were supposed to get some pitching cause our bullpen isn't doing so hot. Well only time will tell on how this trade will affect the Sox' chances at winning another World Series this season.

Yes, I am not on the team but I still like to use "we", "us" and "our".

I have a military base within walking distance, so I grab a baseball bat and try to make it. If the base is overrun by then, I guess I'll wing it. I should get supplies because it's going to happen, oh it will.

So I went to the dentist today, and lets just say my teeth suck. But do to the fact that I went I was actually up before the local thrift shop closed. I have been meaning to go there for a while for the exact reason I went there today. I am now a proud owner of a Atari 2600 (sans power cord), one controller and a copy of Missile Command, for the grand total of $10. Ive never had a chance to play let alone own an Atari, so that wish has been fulfilled (once I find a power cord). Since it was a thrift store the gaming systems they did have were past there prime. They had four PSXs(three grey and one tiny white one), the highly successful consoles of a Sega Dreamcast and a 3DO (made by Panasonic for some reason). Also because of its infamy of being so horribly bad, I bought a copy of Shaq-Fu and I don't even own a Sega.

So for the past two days it has been raining pretty hard, yesterday being the worst. The power went out twice, and there was even a story on the news about there being a tornado(which shouldn't happen). It rained all day today but not as hard. On the other hand it did cause one of our trees to fall in the neighbors yard. He is having a open house tomorrow, so my brother and I of all people are going to have to remove the tree from his yard. The worst thing is our chainsaw is broken, so we have to use a handsaw to cut it up and move it. So tomorrow I'm going to spend my day as a lumberjack, hurray(<---insert sarcasm here).

I am incredible afraid of heights (or Acrophobia).

It doesn't really affect my everyday life cause I don't deal with heights that often. But when heights do come in to play, I'm almost scared stiff.
